His Holy Weirdness, Tim Burton, is at it again.

"9" gives us a post-apocolyptic world in which machines have taken over (very Matrixy) a scientist creates an army of sapient rag dolls to win back the world. We're always happy when we hear about original ideas like this, ones that aren't remakes, sequels, prequels, or based on books.

The characters are all named numerically, and guess which one is the main character? 9 of course... voiced by Elijah Wood.

Other notable voices are John C. Reilly, Jennifer Connelly, Christopher Plummer, Crispin Glover, and Martin Landau.
