X-Men Origins: First Class

Siiiighh... here we go again. Cinema Obsessed has just learned about EVEN MORE 'origin' films. Can't they leave well enough alone? I guess not, when there's potentially bajillions of dollars in profits involved.

X-Men Origins: First Class will follow the X-Men in their younger years at Xavier's school for the gifted. We'll see youthful versions of Cyclops, Jean, Beast, Storm, and others. Ouch, the young actors who get these roles will be under a lot of pressure. Imagine being cast to play a young Halle Berry?

If they don't perform up to par, this movie might just have the appeal of the Dumb and Dumber prequel, which left audiences wanting for the original actors... as nothing could ever replace them. Comic-book fans can be hardcore, and you don't want to disappoint them when it comes to bringing their fave heroes and villains to the silver screen.

This movie will be going into production depening on the success of X-Men Origins: Magneto.
