Wow. One of the greats has left us.
John Hughes died suddenly of a heart attack at the age of only 59, while walking in Manhattan yesterday, August 6th.
Hughes gave us many classics that we cherish to this day: National Lampoon's Vacation; Ferris Bueller's Day Off; Weird Science; The Breakfast Club; Some Kind of Wonderful; Sixteen Candles; Pretty in Pink; Planes, Trains and Automobiles; Uncle Buck; Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. (Wikipedia)
It's not often a director can boast sooooo many great films that have all become either box office smashes, or cult favourites.
You will be missed, John! But your films will live on in Cin-Ob hearts forever!
