Blue Valentine, starring Michelle Williams and Canadian Ryan Gosling is being released on December 27th.
It was given the cinematic kiss of death with an NC17 rating for a scene of explicit sexuality (oooooh) but recently won an appeal for an R rating. I guess a little bit of editing did the trick.
The film centers on a contemporary married couple, charting their evolution over a span of years by cross-cutting between time periods. [IMDB]
The synopsis doesn't sound all that thrilling, but there's something super intriguing about this trailer. Watch it, you'll see what I mean. It's not filmed in the smoothest style, but a little more rough and reality-ish, which makes me wanna see it even more.
I'm sure the hype over the NC17 rating will make people go see it. Cuz you know, we're all pervs deep down.

I really want to see this movie! For some reason it looks so real like one of those movies where you forget its actually a movie but two people's lives. I gotta see it!! =)
