Striking Similarity: Tale of the Two Snackers

Tony Shaloub's character Fred Kwan is seen snacking in many of his scenes in Galaxy Quest (1999).

Another big snacker was Rusty Ryan, Brad Pitt's character in Ocean's Eleven (2001). Rusty is also seen snacking on something in almost every scene he appeared in. In the scene Tess (Julia Roberts) is coming down the stairwell, Rusty is snacking on shrimp. The scene had so many takes, Pitt ate over 40 shrimp! Sick...

A lesser known bit of triv is that while I watched these two movies and was in the process of drawing this Striking Similarity, I was also snacking. What a coincidence.
