Tantalizing Trivia: Alien

Alien (1979) gave us aliens laying their eggs in chest cavities... *shudder*. This bit was inspired by spider wasps. In real life, these wasps lay their eggs in spiders' abdomens. Well, if we weren't afraid of aliens before, we are now. And this tidbit doesn't exactly ease our arachnophobia either.

130 alien eggs were made for the scene in the downed spacecraft... not a set we would have done well on.
