Roy E. Disney passes away at 79

Roy E. Disney, nephew of the great Walt Disney, passed away yesterday, December 16th, at the age of 79. The cause is being reported as stomach cancer.

Roy was vice-chairman of the board of directors and head of the animation department at the Disney company, despite many disagreements with other executives over the years.

Roy was also the last member of the Disney family to be involved in the company.
