Memorable Monologue: Hope Floats

"Childhood is what you spend the rest of your life trying to overcome. That's what momma always says. She says that beginnings are scary, endings are usually sad, but it's the middle that counts the most. Try to remember that when you find yourself at a new beginning. Just give hope a chance to float up. And it will..."

~ Sandra Bullock as Birdee Pruitt in Hope Floats (1998)

Oh, man...I rememeber going to see this movie in the theater with my sister and my grandma. We suspect that Gran might have slept through the movie because when my mom asked us what it was about she replied "Its this little girl named hope, and she floats around and flies."

At least we HOPE she was sleeping...

It's all good Wendy! Problem solved!

PS - that's hilarious. I remember being so jazzed about Star Wars Episode 1 (don't judge). I saw it three times, and the fourth time I insisted my whole family come with me. They napped. Some of them even snored.

I remember the trailer, but never saw the movie. I'll have to add it to my queue. Cool blog.
