Tantalizing Trivia: The Blair Witch Project

The actors in the film were only given a short outline of filming, and their lines were all improvised. A hidden crew created all the scary moments, that the actors were not prepared for, and their reactions were therefore genuine. The director shook their tent in the middle of the night on a whim, and the crew walked around their campsite breaking sticks to scare them.

I so agree. I made my husband enter the house first to make sure he checks everything before I get in.

I love this movie. It's great and knowing how it was made makes it even better.

I love how everyone I knew thought that this movie was actually real for, like, two years.

It's funny how progressive TBWP was for its time. I mean, look at where movies are nowadays: Cloverfield, Paranormal Activity, Quarantine, District 9...

Very before its time.
