Glenn Shadix, who we all know as interior decorator / spiritual medium Otho in Beetlejuice passed away on Tuesday. He was 58 years old.
We also know him as the mayor of Halloweentown in The Nightmare Before Christmas, and the funny-looking ape from T-Burt's Planet of the Apes.
The character of Otho, however, will live forever in our hearts. DAY OH! DAAAAY OH!

Tonight is Beetlejuice night, in memorial, you know.
I watched Beetlejuice just a few nights ago and just loved his character! I can't believe he's gone. Sad day indeed.
He also played the hilarious suicide service conducting preacher in Heathers...he was great!
It's sad to think I just watched Heathers the other day and now a actor is dead... creepy.
That's awful :( I didn't realise that he was such a Tim Burton regular either. I'll have to rewatch these; he was great in Beetlejuice and he will be sorely missed.
