Mark Strong - Hollywood's New Favourite Baddie

I've really been wanting to point this out for a long time. Mark Strong, who most of you know as "that guy" is the new face of villains in Hollywood. He's played ALL KINDS of baddies, but he seems to be the go-to a-hole for casting agents. I have YET to see him play a lovable leading man, or even someone who isn't totally evil.

Exhibit A: Stardust (2007)

Mark plays Septimus, the bad-ass son of the King (well, the worst one anyway since they were all d*cks.. sorry Mom)

Exhibit B: Sherlock Holmes (2009)

MarkyMark played Lord Blackwood. A voodoo black-magic triflin' rise-from-the-grave mofo bent on world domination and murdering women. Jerkface.

Exhibit C: The Young Victoria (2009)

In yet ANOTHER period film, M-Strong plays Sir John Conroy, another dude with his nose in other people's business, who is trying to control the young Queen-to-be, and even man-handles her a little roughly at one point. Victoria sticks it to him eventually though. But still, you wanna punch him in his Victorian face.
Exhibit D: Kick-Ass (2010)

In Kick-Ass he played Frank D'Amico, gangsta extraodinaire (finally without a British accent). He's rough and tough and has minion dudes carry out his murderous tasks. He was super scary in this one.
Exhibit E: Robin Hood (2010)

In the latest Robin Hood reboot, he played Godfrey. Now, my memory of his role is a little muddled, but I do remember him playing the baddie, and I remember going "Hey it's that guy again!" From what I remember he was just a power-hungry a-hole, again using his minions to take down Robin.

Recent movies of his I haven't seen but think he might be a baddie:
(Cin-Obs please confirm if you know)
- Syriana (2005)
- Tristan and Isolde (2006)
- RocknRolla (2008)
- Babylon A.D. (2008)
- Endgame (2009)
- Body of Lies (2008)
