The Green Hornet

Most of you have probably already heard about Seth Rogen's new role as The Green Hornet in the new film, but we thought we'd discuss it anyway!

Kevin Smith was originally writing the script, but got sidetracked with other projects and dropped it. We would have been extra psyched if this was a Kevin Smith affair! Jake Gyllenhaal was rumoured for the lead, but that fell apart as well, with him working on Prince of Persia.

But fret not... because Seth Rogen actually co-wrote the new movie! Happy happy joy joy! We're not expecting stoner comedy whatsoever, and we have faith that Rogen's writing skills go way beyond weed jokes. When watching Pineapple Express (2008) it was evident, behind the drug humour, that the writing was witty and original... and that Rogen has talent.

Rogen lost all kinds of weight to play Britt Reid/The Green Hornet, and has joked about becoming a Hollywood sell-out by doing so. We still think he's ultra-loveable (in a platonic sort of

way).

Other interesting Green Hornet news to surface is that Nicholas Cage is in talks to play a villain in the film.

We think he has just the right edge to be a believable baddie. Not to mention, we love just about everything Cage is in. So throw in Seth Rogen and we're definitely gonna love this one.
