We've heard rumours of a remake of The Sound of Music.Who's the moronstrosity who thought this crap up? It's blasphemous. Don't touch it! Back away from the script! WE REPEAT - BACK AWAY!
Julie Andrews is also aware of this ridiculousness, and supports it! She must be getting senile with old age. Further proof of her dementia came when she said she wanted Cameron Diaz in the role of Maria.
Ahem... pardon me? I don't think I heard right. Ms. Andrews, you want a booty-shaking tart to play one of the most beloved characters of all time?
Not to mention, CAMERON CAN'T SING! At least not that we know of, and Maria can't be dubbed over in song. That shiz just ain't right.
Since we're making a modern version, maybe the Jolie-Pitt kids could play the Von Trapp children, and Zac Efron could play Rolf.
Barf.
We're making signs right now so we can go picket the house of the dumb-bum who suggested this.

Now Now. There is no need to be so hard on Ms. Diaz. I mean, she did do a pretty decent job in 'My Sister's Keeper' so you have to give her some credit! I agree though, i don't think Diaz would make a very good Maria... Now Marry Poppins on the other hand! Grrr baby, that's my kind of Nanny! (Besides, who needs singing when you can shake you booty!)
How did we know you'd come to Cameron Diaz's defense? Oh yeah, maybe it was this comment from before:

I'm really hoping that regardless of how dark the role is, that there is still booty shaking. In retrospect it's probably a much easier way for her to make a million dollars.
LOL sounds like you've got a soft spot for her.. actually sounds more like a hard spot. OOOH!
totally against it!!! loved the atricle and agree 100%
