In North By Northwest (1959), nobody really explained to this kid how acting works... because he seems to know exactly what's about to happen. Watch the extra, the kid in the dark blue shirt on the right, at the 19 second mark. Cover your ears! That gun's about to fire!

He was just trying to quiet the voices in his head. I'll admit, the timing was inconvenient.
Haha aww so it's not as funny as I originally thought, since it turns out the kid is mentally disturbed!
