Striking Similarity: John Lennon vs Dane Cook

Exhibit A: The famous 1980 Rolling Stone cover of Yoko Ono and John Lennon embracing, photographed by Annie Leibovitz.

Exhibit B: A recreation by Jessica Alba and Dane Cook for one of the promotional posters for Good Luck Chuck (2007). I guess Dane wasn't brave enough to go bare-bottomed like John. Too bad.

OMG, you can totally tell, that the picture with Dane Cook is so put together by computer. She is not even remotely looking at him, and you can tell where his arm crosses over her throat that the shadows don't even match the lighting.

There is also no absolute connection between Dane and Jessica, yet in the Cover with John Lennon, you can see a genuine connection between the two.

I'm not bashing the poster with Dane and Jessica, it's just something that would have been nice to see a better connection. It might have made me want to see the movie more... :)

Oh and is it just me, but are they totally air-brushed in the poster? LOL

Jon - You're right, totally airbrushed. But the movie's cute, you should see it! But then again, I'm biased towards all things Dane Cook.

Anonymous - Damn right he does! But I wouldn't doubt he had some digital help it making them look as yummy as possible :)

Yes, I have to agree that the Dane Cook picture is computerized. Absolutely NO ONE had the guts of the mastermind John Lennon (BIG FAN!) to re-create the picture themselves. They are too chicken to pose the same way. (I honestly have no idea if this is wha you meant, but it has to do woth John Lennon so i was forced to comment.)
