Charismatic Character: John Givings

Ok, so Michael Shannon's portrayal of John Givings, a recently released mental patient, isn't exactly "charismatic" but it's one hell of a character nonetheless... worthy of being noted on the site, that's for sure. The Academy agreed and nominated him for Best Supporting Actor for this role.

In Revolutionary Road (2008) you absolutely hated him for being so blunt and rude, but almost wanted to pat him on the back for his brutal honesty in that world of cookie-cutter, pretend BS.
