Gnomeo and Juliet

It's Shakespeare like you've never seen it! Prepare for Gnomeo and Juliet!

Emily Blunt and James McAvoy will lend their voices to this upcoming animated family-friendly flick... oh, pardon the alliteration. This one doesn't require too much explanation.

If you haven't lived under a rock your whole life, you know Shakespeare's classic tale of star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet. We've already seen live-action adaptations - An animated version is loooooong overdue!!

Elton John is co-producing this one, and his classic tunes (with the possibility of a few new ones) will be used for the film's soundtrack! Yipppeeee!!!

Ok... Let me have fun with this one. Let's imagine Elton's (yes, we're on a first name basis) greatest hits in gnome-world:

Garden Hose in the Wind
Don't Let the Sun Go Down On the Perennials
Weedwhacker Rock
Bennie and the Sprinkler Jets
Goodbye Yellow Brick Interlock Walkway
Don't Go Breaking My Bird Feeder
Can You Feel the Top Soil Tonight?

Look for it in 2010!

Elton John is not only producing, but the idea is apparently his :) I adore Emily and James, so I can't wait for this one!
