The Baster becomes The Switch.. and has a trailer

The Baster (gross) has changed titles to The Switch, and released a trailer. Finally, someone at the studio was like "Hmmmm maybe we should reconsider the title due to its graphic inappropriate implications in the context of a film about artificial insemination." Gee, ya think?

So I have to ask... is Jennifer Aniston knowingly trying to sabbotage her career with these lame rom-coms? Don't get me wrong, I love rom-coms as much as the next female-film-fanatic (haha alliteration is fun).

But seriously, she doesn't choose the most respectable projects. I'm also very surprised that Jason Bateman is showing his face in this disgusting concept of a film.

Ok so, a woman tells her best friend she's getting artificially inseminated, then he realizes he loves her and switches the sperm. Cooommme ooonnn.... For real? I can't believe that not only was this put on paper and someone went "This is gonna be GREAT!" but that the script made it through all the channels of approval until it was actually made. I'm sorry, nothing against artificial insemination, but a concept like this is hardly funny/romantic... it's more of a drama. Switching sperm is not something to take lightly. In the real world, that would be a huge violation of trust and... and... icky.

So here it is. If you can stomach it. Granted, the people who make trailers do a great job, because this makes it look cute (if you can get past the event that is the catalyst for the entire storyline being deceitful and wrong). Ok I'm done bitching now.

I haven't seen the trailer, but maybe it will be one of those surprise things...

Like a heart attack...

Or mind rape...

I guess I'm in agreement that this is the worst idea ever- other than the cancellation of Dollhouse. THAT was the worst idea ever.
