Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

If it isn't yet obvious to you Cin-Obs, we love us some Michael Cera. We just can't get enough of his 'I'm so adorably awkward and can make you larf in Indie films or hugely successful comedies' bit. He's amazing. Period. So here's the scoop from IMDB...

Everything is totally sweet. Scott Pilgrim's life is so awesome. He's 23 years old, in a rock band, "between jobs," and dating a cute high school girl. Everything's fantastic until a seriously mind-blowing, dangerously fashionable, roller blading delivery girl named Ramona Flowers starts cruising through his dreams and sailing by him at parties. But the path to Ms. Flowers isn't covered in rose petals. Ramona's seven evil exes stand between Scott and true happiness. Can Scott beat the bad guys and get the girl without turning his precious little life upside-down? The film is based on the Oni Press graphic novel Scott Pilgrim Volume 1: Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life, written by Bryan Lee O'Malley.

Other notable names starring in this flick: Jason Schwartzman, Brandon Routh, and Kieran Culkin. We're not overly familiar with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who's playing the lead female role, but shmeh. Who cares. We're not just Cinema Obsessed. We're also BOY OBSESSED. Yeah for peeners!

I didn't just say that.

Anyhoo. The synopsis made me feel like I was reading about a video game. Boy likes girl. Boy must fight baddies in various levels to win girl... and rescue her from the castle. Ok, there's no mention of a castle, but it reminds me of Super Mario.

The battle of the exes begins August 13, 2010.
