When my husband and I first started dating he had mabye 15 dvds to his name and this movie was one of them. He tried for months to get me to watch it, but I'd always suggest renting something or bring my own movies over to watch.
One day I was unprepared and he finally had an excuse to unleash Starship Troopers on me. I was surprised at how much I didn't hate it like I thought I would.
Of course when he came home with the direct-to-dvd Starship Troopers 2 a year later, I almost left him.
Great flick! Saw it in theater back in the day, mostly because the American Godzilla trailer was attached. Definitely the right decision for the wrong reason!
