Galaxy Quest (1999) is in my top 3 favourite sci-fi flicks, so anything extra I can get from the movie, I'm all for it!
Check out these scenes that didn't make the final cut, that will leave you grinning. See Dr. Lazarus' sleeping arrangements, a funny Q&A with Tech Sargeant Chen, some desperately needed dialogue from Rainn Wilson's small character, and some Sigourney cleavage - if you're into that.
I stumbled upon this deleted scene from I Love You, Man (2009) and man - did I love it! See what I did there? I'm funny. Anyways, this scene made me l-o-l yo. Watch as the groom (Rudd) and his wacky assortment of groomsman pose for wedding photos. It's good, trust me!
I can't even tell you how much I enjoyed this recent flick! Jesse Eisenberg was absolutely brilliant (but then again, he's always brilliant in my eyes) and the story, however factual, was fan-freakin'-tastic!
This Equisite Extra is a mish-mash of clips of the filming of the movie. There's no commentary, interviews or set-ups, but if you're into the 'movie magic' like we are, you'll appreciate the different perspective. Granted, watching snippets like this sometimes takes away from the magic of it all, but in this case it's good fun. Enjoy!
Hey you... pssst... come over here. *shifty eyes* Wanna see something revolting?
Well if you remember the 1986 remake of The Fly, you probably remember the unforgettable jarring scarring vomit-inducing inside-out baboon. If not, I bet I just inspired you to go watch it. Cuz you're a sicko, I know it. You disgust me. (I like that scene too)
Anyways, check out this deleted scene in which Brundle tries to genetically blend a cat and a baboon with his teleportation machine. You also get to see some awesome futuristic 80s computers. Obviously the experiment doesn't go well, so don't watch if you have a weak stomach.
If I could mix two animals for a pet, I'd mix a goldfish and a hamster, and call it a goldster. I dunno, that was dumb.
We were so psyched for this movie to come out, and man oh man... it was an experience. We just looove movies that are an experience. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was in your face, brilliant, original, fabulous.
So here is a 'lil featurette from one of our favie flicks of 2010! Enjoy!
If you saw Bedazzled (2000) then you remember how sad, lonely, pathetic Elliot made all kinds of crazy wishes that he thought would make him happy.
Well here's one wish you didn't get to see, since it hit the cutting room floor. Enjoy this deleted scene of Elliot's rock star wish (that blows up in his face like all the others).
My guess is that it was cut for the drug use, an overdose, alcohol, making out with groupies, cussing, bitch slapping, and simulated sex -- which didn't fit the fairly innocent tone of the rest of the film. (You weren't gonna watch the clip until I said that, amirite?)
But for real - Brendan Fraser's teeth and English accent cracked me up.
We recently caught the third installment of the Toy Story franchise.. and boy oh boy did we love it!
Anyone who knows us, knows we're special features whores. We want to see it all - even if it does take away some of the magic. We especially love the 'making of' for animated flicks! Watching the actors do their voice work and getting to see how storyboards come to life is AWESOME!
This Exquisite Extra takes us behind the scenes of Toy Story 3 (2010) where we get to see Tom Hanks and Tim Allen working side by side! Enjoy!
Oh lordy. There are no words to describe how happy this gem made us. We never had the pleasure of experiencing this hit on Broadway BUT we don't think it would have swayed our opinion of the movie. Fun, light musical numbers set in beautiful Greece. It doesn't get much better than that.
We loved Meryl, loooved the soundtrack and loved the fact that there were no major conflicts. One big happy cheesefest that we have rewatched over and over and over. Here's a behind-the-scenes featurette for all of you who enjoyed this flick as much as we did!
Check out some behind the scenes footage from the set of Avatar (2009). I know I've posted a lot about this movie but listen... come in close... I have a secret. *Angie looks left to right and leans in close* I am a Na'Vi born in a human body. I'm thinking of undergoing a species change. I just want to feel right in my own skin. And that skin is blue.
I have rewatched Avatar like a bazillion times, I just can't get enough. The problem is this - I'm a special features whore, and when the DVD was released early with NOTHING but scene selection, I was devastated, because this was one movie I wanted to know EVERYTHING about. The DVD called to me everyday when I passed by the store. The shimmering blue cover was looking me in the eye, saying "You know you wanna buy me..." And I caved. But thanks to YouTube I've been able to satisfy my crack-like addiction to extras. So here we have a peak at the making of Avatar. HOOK IT DIRECTLY TO MY VEINS!!! AAHH!!!
And just in case you're all wondering what we would look like as Na'vi... here ya go:
I almost hate to admit how many times I've watched Starship Troopers (1997) because my obsession with this movie speaks directly to my lack of coolness. Or abundance of coolness, depending on how you look at it.
Most 11 year olds are watching My Little Pony and Hannah Montana and crap like that. Me? No. I had the VHS tape of this movie on repeat... swooning over Casper Van Dien and wishing I could kill bugs with a machine gun. I also really wanted to attend their futuristic high school and take co-ed showers run the obstacle courses.
Check out this super-duper-starship-trooper behind the scenes footage slash making-of documentary!
Check out Steve Carell and Tina Fey chatting about their new action rom-rom Date Night! See what they have to say about playing a married couple, makin' out, and pole dancing.
Check out this hilarious lady on set of Inglourious Basterds (2009), and her original way of marking the scenes with the clapboard. Scenes are labeled with letters (for organization of the reels? I have no clue) and this chick finds a new way to announce the letter coding each time.
Watch some of the actors' reactions as she gets creative.
Oh gosh darnit! Yesterday when I told you about the new film, Predators, I forgot to give you this little making-of featurette!
See the actors in action, and see Robert Rodriguez throw in his two cents.
Although I'm TOTALLY gonna see this movie, it does look similar to the others, military people covered with dirt and sweat, waving their guns around frantically in every direction, with a tough woman thrown in so as to appease the feminists.
Hungry for a few larfs? We've made sure to talk about this recent comedy p-p-plenty! Check out the Line-o-Rama from this gem... we especially love Adam Scott (Will Ferrell's D-Bag-o-licious bro in the movie)! Bon Appetit Cin-Obs!
Now THESE are some special features. Or as we call 'em, Exquisite Extras! Watch some behind the scenes footage from the crazy record-breaking money-making Avatar! See how some of the effects were created, and watch some of the actors' performances behind the 'performance capture' technology.
I Love You Man(2009) was about to hit theatres and these two were on the campaign trail to promote the shiz outta it! We found this interview on YouTube and we absolutely shat our pants laughing!
What we would give to sit down with these two. Paul Rudd, Jason Segel... if you two are reading this (ya right) please, please, please have a chat with us!!! Oohhh. That sounded desperate. The point is we heart you both lotsy and we consider ourselves to be a couple of professional sillypants as well!
Here it is folks! One of the promotional posters for the upcoming musical NINE. Can't wait for this one! Singin' and dancin' and sparkly outfits... how could you go wrong? Plus Daniel Day Lewis, and he pretty much doesn't make bad movies... like ever.
With all the huge stars in this film, I can't believe they only selected three for the poster! I'm betting there's other versions of this out there with the other folks on it... there's gotta be one with plastic-face Nicole Kidman. Cuz I mean, people still like her... right?
Now check out some rehearsal footage, mixed with the final product. This just might be another Chicago for us... meaning watched over and over and over and over with the soundtrack on constant repeat in the car, mixed with fantasies of permorning every musical number, with the occassional private dance routine in my bedroom in fishnets.
