Lena Horne Dies at 92

Hollywood has lost another icon.

Lena Horne, whose beauty and talent - and race - helped pave the way for future generations of African American stars, died Sunday night at Manhattan's New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell hospital, reports The New York Times. She was 92 and had been in failing health the past few months. [IMDB]

Enjoy Ms. Horne as Georgia Brown in this little snippet from Cabin In The Sky (1943).

She was a great one. And one of the most beautiful women ever. My dad said she had such beauty...she would radiate a room and definitely the screen.
