A John Belushi Biopic!

MTV.com, among others, is reporting that Todd Phillips, director of The Hangover (2009) is developing a John Belushi biopic!

As most of us know, the former SNL castmate died of a drug overdose in 1982, pretty much at the height of his popularity. Shame shame shame.

Well, tragic figures usually get a biopic eventually, and this story is no different. I'm sure it would make a great film, the rise in fame during his SNL years, Animal House, The Blues Brothers, battling addictions, relationship problems etc. As much as every life is different, these biopics still tend to be predictable, in the things they focus on.

Another thing that gets me excitey is the portrayal of some of the other legendary SNL cast members who were big around that time!

Some names that have been brought to the table (not by us) to play the lead role are Zack Galifianakis, Jack Black, Jonah Hill, and Seth Rogen. Who would you like to see play Belushi?
