Happy Birthday John Malkovich!

Happy Birthday John! You turn 57 today but you don't look a day over 59.

I'm embarassed to say I was only introduced to you with Of Mice and Men (1992) in high school.  After we read the book, the teach put on the movie with you and Gary Sinise. I cried for you, Lenny. You were amazing.

In Being John Malkovich (1999) I was like "Hey Lenny! Wait, why is this movie about you? I don't get it." And honestly, you weirded the hell out of me. After several rewatches of this culty flick, I realized that the way you make me uncomfortable is actually the reason I love you so much and can't take my eyes off you.

I actually read in the triv that you didn't want to make that movie. I read that you were very hesitant to make a movie that kinda parodies you and your life. But guess what? It rocked, and only made me respect you. Nothing less.

Burn After Reading (2008) was also awesome. Wouldn't expect anything less from you or the Coen Bros. I haven't seen Con Air (1997), but I hear you were badass in that.

Oh Oh I almost forgot Alive (1993) which you narrated. I saw you at the beginning and I was like "It's my head Schwartz!" I was also excited that you made Red recently. Still going strong. Even though you were playing an old has-been kinda character, I'll still rent it when it comes out on DVD.

In summary, I enjoy what you do so keep doing it. And Happy Birthday.

PS: Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich...

One of my all-time favorite actors. I agree that he was excellent in BEING JOHN MALKOVICH, and I really enjoyed his directorial debut as well, THE DANCER UPSTAIRS
