Unfortunately, a Series of Unfortunate Events on hold

Just wondering, where the hell is the next film from the Series of Unfortunate Events books? According to the novels, the kids don't age much at all, so they have already waited too long to make the next installment. Apparently there was a corporate shake-up of some sort at Paramount, which halted the production of the next film.

But come on... it's now or never! There are 13 books in the series, and the first film was only based on the first three! Those kids are supposed to be kids all the way through. That's what we want to see.

Don't get into Harry Potter territory, please. I don't like seeing Ron Weasley with a baritone voice and facial hair. It just seems less innocent.
