You've got to be kidding...We reported yesterday about Jennifer Lopez's new documentary, we mean romantic comedy, about artificial insemination, and it's obvious similarities to Baby Mama (2008), SO we were blown away when we learned this tiddy-bit of info.
Sigh. Here we go. Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman star in the upcoming film The Baster (could there be a more disgusting title for a movie about planting sperm?) It was apparently filmed at the same time as J-Lo's pregnancy flick.
Bateman plays a sick sick man who discovers his best friend, Aniston, is planning on getting pregnant via AI. In a disturbing, and non-romantic comedy kinda situation, he switches her donor sperm for his own, and we guess the movie unfolds in a light-hearted way.
HUH? This sounds more like dramatic material. There would be betrayal, fights, lawsuits... Wouldn't you be pissed if that happened to you? We're sure Aniston's gonna fall head-over-heels for the deceiving a-hole.
We will say this - at least it's an interesting twist on the concept. But this movie definitely tops us off... don't need anymore of these artificial insemination films. That'll do, Hollywood... that'll do.
