Bunraku! (huh?)

Bunraku is an upcoming hybrid film.

What is a hybrid film you ask? We shall explain. This film will incorporate live action, animation, puppets, and best of all... martial arts! Booya! It has been described as a film noir, which we also heart a lot. We're dark like that...

The style of the puppetry is a 400-year-old Japanese form of theatre, involving very large puppets that require several puppeteers to manoeuvre. We're SO intrigued!

And guess what, Josh Hartnett got a job! He will STAR as "The Drifter", the nameless main character of the film.

We will also get to see Demi Moore (surprised she found time to work between all her twittering), and Woody Harrelson. Do we smell a comeback, Woody? We're totally behind you. We've always liked you...
