How to Train Your Dragon

Oh my oh my oh my, we likey this one.

How to Train Your Dragon is an upcoming animated film by Dreamworks. Again, the movie has hooked us with an amazing voice cast. We're gonna hear Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Gerard Butler and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (aka McLovin). If you've learned anything about our taste, you know why these stars are a major draw for us.

How to Train Your Dragon follows Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third (Baruchel) as he finds and befriends an injured dragon. We can only assume he goes on to train said dragon. Makes sense, no? Great concept... very reminiscent of Pete's Dragon (1977), another childhood favie of ours.

This film is based on a 2003 children's novel of the same name, and we can only assume the movie will be targeted to a bit of an older audience. With those actors, how could it not? We're really loving the way studios are making animated films enjoyable for adults too. There's a fine line between kid humour and adult humour, fitting in jokes that kids overlook and parents chuckle at.
