Despicable Me

Universal Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment (their first animated film) present Despicable Me.

Gru (voiced by Steve Carrell) is an evil super-villain, living unbeknownst to his neighbours in a picture-perfect white-picket fence suburb. Gru is the perfect villain - complete with an underground lair, minions to do his bidding, and a super duper evil master plan - TO STEAL THE MOON! MUA HA HA!

His entire life is devoted to evil plotting, until three neighbourhood orphans take a shining to him, and as per the usual family film premise, melt his ice-cold heart.

This concept sounds great, and we're always up for some animated fun. It must be mentioned that Carrell shares the film with an all-star voice-cast including Jason Segel, Kristen Wiig, Russel Brand, Will Arnett, Danny McBride, Julie Andrew, and Jemaine Clement (of HBO's Flight of the Conchords).

There couldn't be a better mash-up of comedians. This can't fail! Watch for it July 9, 2010.
