Well, Disney is taking us through a time warp and bringing us a new 2D adventure. The Princess and the Frog will be released on November 25th, 2009.
There aren't too many eye-catching names providing voices for the film, except a small role for Oprah, Terrence Howard, and John Goodman.
That's ok by us though... we don't need stars to enjoy a story. In fact, unknowns can really make a story believable.
Anyhoos, The Princess and the Frog will follow Tiana, a young girl livin' in the bayou who kisses a frog (who is actually a prince) expecting him to become human again. When she turns into a frog herself, the two go on a hilarious adventure through the Louisiana bayou. Oh that sounds sooo wholesome. Except for the voodoo aspect. But still... enjoyable.
Ya just know this will have a super sublime soundtrack, fulla jazz and fun southern tunes. Can't wait!
Check out the trailer below. Are you excited for Disney going back to it's roots with 2D?
