Kane & Lynch

Movies based on video games... BOOYA! You all know we're movie obsessed, but we also love us some video games! Although we're old school (Super Mario 3, Donkey Kong, Tetris) we dabble in current hits!

IMDB is reporting on a new 'video game-to-movie' thriller starring Bruce Willis and Jamie Fox:

A pair of Death Row inmates, a mercenary named Kane and a schizophrenic named Lynch, escape during a prison transport and team up to retrieve a stolen fortune.

Prison break escape?! Hunting for fortune/treasure?! I need to play the game immediately to get a real feel for this plotline, although so far, sounds awesome! IMDB isn't listing this flick as a comedy, so we're not expecting the 'buddy cop/unlikely duo' dynamic...

We still have a while to wait for a trailer, so for now, we give you the game trailer.

Coming in 2011.

That can't be right.

I don't doubt you. I doubt Hollywood if they are using anyone but Tommy Lee Jones and Bruce Willis. Or Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thorton. I mean serious, look at pics of the cover of Kane and Lynch. WHERE IS JAMIE FOX? NO WHERE? Where is Tommy Lee Jones? Front and center.

And a comedy?! F!

A treasure?! Double F!

Kane and Lynch is a great game. This movie doesn't seem to be doing it justice.

But then again, when do movies ever match their video game counterparts?

(PS. I'm a big gammer. Video games and movies...and Scuba Diving....and playing guitar...that is all.)

No no, it's not listed as comedy. It seems like you know your stuff! Get Hollywood on the phone!
