DEVIL! (great title, obvious, but to the point)

Coming this September is Devil, a film co-written by M. Night Shyamalan. Holy cow! He's not directing so we have faith his creativeness will shine through and not flop horribly. Terrible poster, though, amiright?

IMDB, break it down! A group of people trapped in a elevator realize that the devil is among them.

Chantale will not be able to deal with this one, as she is both claustrophobic and elevator-phobic. Not good.

This looks amazing, and we might just have to update our Devil List!

The top 5 names on the cast list are Chris Messina (Julie & Julia), Geoffrey Arend ((500) Days of Summer), Bojana Novakovic (Drag Me To Hell), Caroline Dhavernas (The Switch), and Logan Marshall-Green (Across the Universe). Don't recognize most of the names, but thought I'd give you the deets anyway. Have any opinions about these people? Mostly I know Chris Messina from Vicky Cristina Barcelona, but hey - sometimes not knowing the majority of an ensemble can make for an awesome movie.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on this concept? Do you still have faith in Shyamalamadingdong after his string of failures?

Chanty - don't watch this, cuz I'm tired of taking 15 flights of stairs with you everytime we're in a tall building.

The answer is no - I cant trust him anymore ever again. I mean The Happening? NOTHING WAS HAPPENING. So, this will be a "watch when it finally makes it to late-night tv when Im not sleeping" movie for me. But it does sound like a neat idea...

The movie looks like something I'd totally want to see. I think M. Night S. is ok - he's never done anything terrible (I haven't seen 'Airbender') he's just been kind of mediocre here and there. I've liked the majority of his stuff even if it didn't quite live up to "Sixth Sense". I think this looks good though, in theory. He has good ideas usually and all of his movies have some really genius little creepy understated moments I think.

I think it looks really promising but every Shyamalan film has a great trailer so lets hope with a fresh director on board we're going to see something that a) makes sense, and b) is as enjoyable as Sixth Sense and Unbreakable.
