Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang

Nanny McPhee is back, y'all! We're so excited! The first film was so darn tootin' enjoyable and loveable, and now we're in for a second dose! This is a sequel that gets total Cinema Obsessed approval.

Emma Thompson, who wrote the screenplays, is reprising her role as the awesome Nan, and the film will also star the average Maggie Gyllenhaal, the legendary Maggie Smith, and hilarious Welsh Actor Rhys Ifans (remember the disgusting roommate in Notting Hill?).

The Big Bang takes place during wartimes, when some city kids are evacuated to a farm... where, of course, they are comforted by the magical Nanny McPhee. I'm sure they learn many valuable life lessons as well. A family film wouldn't be complete without a moral of the story!

Sigh. We truly loved the first, so we can't wait for this one. It's filming right now, and is expected to be released sometime in 2010.

Thompson has won an Academy Award for her acting, but considering she is writing these brilliant screenplays, we say give her an Oscar for THAT!
