Apparently Evans was hesitant to accept the role of Captain America, having already dazzled the comic-book crowd with his portrayal of the Human Torch in both Fantastic Four movies. This new role could mean many many movies as this character (3 Captain America movies, plus some Avengers movies that are in the works, as well as other Marvel crossovers). Talk about commitment to a character!

I looooved him in Fantastic Four! He's got another movie out soon called Losers... looks like his career is taking off!

Plus, the geek in me says that it's just wrong to cast someone who played The Human Torch as Captain America also. It goes against everything I stand for as a comic book nerd.
