Scream 4 is currently being developed. Courteney Cox and David Arquette have confirmed that they will come back for the 4th film. Of course they will... what else are they doing? Well Cox is doing that tv show Cougartown, but it's pretty obvious that won't last.
Jamie Kennedy, although killed off in the 2nd movie, said he will appear in the new installment. I'm sorry, what did you say Mr. Kennedy? You're coming back? BUT YOU DIED. LET YOUR CAREER DIE TOO.
Ahem, sorry about that. Wes Craven has said publicly that he will come back if the script is right, and has even made statements that The Weinstein Company "owes" him a nice paycheck to come back for the 4th movie, after what he's done for them in the past with the previous Scream movies. Wow, pull that halo out of your arse and get to work. You make cheesey horror movies... don't let that go to your head.
And you guessed it... Neve "I need a job" Campbell has also said she will come back! Duh.
These Scream veterans had better be ready to be surrounded by a much younger cast, and be ready to have a lot of lines about "back in the day" and "ten years ago when all the murders happened" because the screenplay will have to acknowledge the advanced age of these 90s stars. We bet they'll stick them in corny roles, like teachers at the high school, the police chief, etc.
Jamie Kennedy's character, if progressed naturally in the story, will be a stoner on welfare. Wait no, that's his real life.
