Oscar Poll Results!

The Oscars have come and gone, and the Cin-Obs thought Inception deserved top prize of Best Picture! Honestly, we haven't seen any of the nominees EXCEPT Inception, so our opinion was moot on this one. But hey, it WAS amazing, and we're glad it snagged some of the techie awards for its special effects!

Coming in second was Black Swan, which didn't win, but DID get N-Port a statue.

Toy Story 3 got 3rd place, which is not a huge disappointment since it did walk about with Best Animated Feature.

Twas a good year, good year. Now we just gotta see The King's Speech and see what all the f.f...fffuss is about. Haha get it? Cuz he stutters. Nevermind.

What did you think of this year's ceremonies, hosts, winners, losers, and everything in between?

Poll Results! Your Fave Christmas Flick!

The Christmas season is wrapping up... pardon the pun... and we've tallied up the votes for your favie Christmas movie! Ok, so we didn't tally shit, this computer machine-thingy does it for us, but whatevs.

Your favourite Christmas movie is... Christmas Vacation (1989)! Yeah for Chevy Chase! (Although, after reading Kevin Smith's My Boring-Ass Life, we're a little sour about Chevy).

'Other' garnered enough votes to come in second! So c'mon Cin-Obs, tell  us what these titles are! We're starving for great Christmas titles to add to our personal collections.

Our New Caricature!

The votes are in and the Cin-Obs want to see us as Marty McFly and Doc Brown in our new caricature!

It has been sent to our pals at DimpleArt for the full kit'n'kaboodle! It's gonna be SUPER special!

So a giant enormous shout-out to Jamie from MITHRIL WISDOM for giving us the winning suggestion! Jamie gets a gift certificate to shop around the Cin-Ob Store, that lucky bugger.

Once we get the beatiful drawing back, it goes up as our new header for... well... as long as we damn well feel like! Cuz it's gonna be goooood!

Big hugs and thanks to everyone who submitted. There were SOOO many we were routing for! And to be honest, we'll be using some of those ideas in the future as well!

SO THANKS JAMIE! YOU'RE A TRUE CIN-OB SUPREME!

Poll Results! Your Favourite Dr. Evil Crew Member!

Aaaaand FAT BASTARD is the winner! Not all that surprising, since he had the most poo jokes. You know you like toilet humour as much as we do, don't lie. For serious though, FB was the best Dr. Evil crew member. He did the most damage, had the best fight scene, and bottom line - he was DEAD SEXY!

Poll Results! Your Fave 00s Best Picture Winner!

Well, it seems the 2000 epic period film stole your Cin-Ob hearts! Gladiator is the winner!

This was a tough decade. So many good choices! The runner up is The Departed (2006), which in our humble opinion is one of Scorcese's best in many years. Third place goes to Chicago (2002), that toe-tappin', jazz-hands, sparkly Rob Marshall musical.

Here we have a scene in honour of our winner, wherein Maximus reveals himself to Commodus. So epic.

Poll Results: Your Fave 90s Best Picture Winner!

It's a tie! The Cin-Obs have decided that both Silence of the Lambs (1991) and Forrest Gump (1994) are the best Best Picture winners of the 90s. Well done, well done. As always, we agree... although Shakespeare in Love and American Beauty also hold a special place in our hearts. Hell, it's so hard to choose favourites!

So in honour of these winners, we give you... drumroll... BUBBA GUMP SHRIMP! Really, this movie was a risky movie for Hanks... in ways it's so ridiculously silly, but heartwarming and beautiful in others.

And now, the scariest mofo on the cell block (this makes TWO Hannibal references in one day) Dr. Lecter - discussing a delicious meal in this unforgettable scene.

Don't miss the new poll! VOTE VOTE VOTE on your fave 00s best picture winner!

Poll Results! Here come the MEN IN BLACK!

The Cin-Obs have spoken! Men in Black (1997) is your favourite Will Smith flick! We couldn't agree more. It was fun, silly, and action-packed!

Tying for second place were Independence Day (1996), another Will Smith + aliens classic, and I, Robot (2004).

I'm personally a little surprised nobody voted for the Bad Boys films. They're not my Big Willy cup 'a tea, but I know they were really popular. And remember, Men in Black 3 is coming! And in 3D!

Let me see ya just bounce with me, just bounce with me, now make your neck work.

Be sure to vote up a storm in the new poll!

Now let's all just pretend the sequel never happened. All new cast = POOPOO!

Honourable mention goes to TMNT (1990)! Just a couple votes shy of snagging the title! Man, we're all a bunch of 80s kids aren't we?!

Poll Results: Best Broken Lizard Film!

Ok, so this wasn't the most popular poll in the world... I think maybe the category of Broken Lizard films is a little too specific. Or maybe y'all just haven't seen them! If you haven't, get out and rent 'em, because this comedy troupe is hilarious!

For those of you that voted, you seemed to agree that Beerfest (2006) and Super Troopers (2001) is their best stuff to date. We tend to agree!

Check out this Tempting Trailer for Beerfest! DAS BOOT! DAS BOOT!

And be sure to vote on the new poll!

Poll Results: Your favie first person perspective flick!

We've talked about the first person perspective experience in film and how much we looove it! So we asked you what you all thought. As always, you guys rocked in your votes! Coming in as your favie FPP flick (by a landslide) is.... drumroll..... District 9 (2009)! You must have loved it as much as we did! Huzzah for Cin-Obs everywhere!

Cloverfield (2008) came in second and The Blair Witch Project (1999) snagged third place! We were thrilled to see The St. Francisville Experiment (2000) receive a vote (we know who that musta been!)

2 votes for 'OTHER' though... C'mon guys! Let us know what we've missed! Perhaps we've never seen it. Perhaps it slipped our obsessive brains. Drop us some titles in the comments! We just watched Quarantine (2008) last week and realized it was an amazing FPP gem! Scared the poopy out of us! It would have been included had we known!

Poll Results! Your Favourite Flop!

Tom Green's Freddy Got Fingered (2001) and Showgirls (1995) stole the show as your favourite pieces of crap. Both good choices.

May I also apologize for forgetting to include Waterworld in the options. I am a disgrace. I'll just go lock myself in my room and flagellate myself now. (God I hope that word means what I think it means).

Poll Results! Your Favourite Tim Burton Movie!

You always do us proud, dearies. Not like there are correct answers to these things or anything like that.... but if there were... you'd always get them right. That made no sense. Whatever.

You voted Beetlejuice as your fave among faves of Tim Burton's resume! And like the smart little Cin-Obs you are, you put Edward Scissorhands in second! Huzzah!

I'm now accepting applications for bio-exorcisms and Chanty is now available for dog-grooming, landscaping, and hair styling.

Poll Results! Your Fave Shark Movie!

Ok so this poll was decided before it even started. Of course y'all love JAWS! Can anything really compete with this gem?

Personally we really enjoyed Deep Blue Sea, and of course the family friendly Shark Tale!

I leave you with a shark movie we forgot to include in the poll, the classic Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus (2009). This is one of the most PLAUSIBLE things I've ever seen. This is the real reason I'm scared to fly, I've just never admitted it before. Because it could TOTALLY happen.

VOTE ON THE NEXT POLL! IT'S OSCAR RELATED AND ONLY UP UNTIL SUNDAY!

Poll Results! You love the Half-Blood Prince!

Well, after a poll that accidentally went on forever, you guys voted the newest installment in the Harry Potter franchise as your favie! The Half-Blood Prince won you over! I tend to agree... these movies are only getting better as they're going! Chanty and I saw this movie at the drive-in last summer. Good times had by all.

So what was it that got ya? Was it the sexy-rexy kiss between Harry and Ginny? I bet it was. You're all big saps, I knew it.

In honour of the winner of this poll, enjoy the very tempting trailer!

Poll Results! You are MOST excited about...

...Tim Burton's ALICE IN WONDERLAND! You might remember we did this poll a few months ago, and the result was the same! You dudes are just as jazzed as we are about this remake! Oooh I get tingly just thinking about Tim Burton projects. Oh and in 3D no less!

I have a mental image of Chanty and me sitting in the theatre, waiting for this baby to begin.

Angie: Uhh... Chanty... I had a little accident.

Chanty: Did you spill your root beer?

Angie: No.

Chanty: *sniff sniff, look of horror on face* You didn't...

Angie: I pooped.

Chanty: *expletive deleted*

Angie: I was just too excited. My bowels let go.

Chanty: Well good thing you wore your Depends, because we're not getting up for anything.

Other movie patrons: *Sniff sniff... angry grumbles... gagging sounds*

(Sorry if my poop jokes offend you. Deal with it.)

Vote on the next poll!
