Delicious Dinner: Funny Farm

Here's another memorable meal, at a quaint country diner in Funny Farm (1988). And when out in the country, you just gotsta try the local specialties.

For instance - Lamb Fries. Watch Andy (Chevy Chase) devour his third order of this treat, raving about how delicious they are.

Then, sadly, he discovers what he's really eating. If they were THAT GOOD, would you keep eating? Or would you be put off by the truth?

Delightful Dialogue: The Santa Clause

Scott Calvin: You know, you look pretty good for your age.

Little Elf Judy: Thanks, but I'm seeing someone in wrapping.

Delicious Dinner: The Ugly Truth

Not safe for viewing at work. Not safe for virgin eyes. Mom, don't watch this clip.

Now that the disclaimer is outta the way, here one of the most interesting Delicious Dinners we've ever posted. We laughed superdoops hard at the drive-in when we first saw this chick-flick-flop.

Heigl's performance here rivals that of Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally (1989). In fact, the same line applies - "I'll have what she's having." Acually in the scene it's a dish called Ceviche. I wanna know what's in it too.

Delicious Dinner: Pineapple Express

This is one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. It's oh so re-watchable (that doesn't mean much coming from me though...).

Watch as Dale attempts to save his girlfriend's family from the drug dealers. I just love how committed he is, regardless of the fact that he's stoned out of his tree and knows that he looks like a complete lunatic. Ed Begley Jr. is Amazeballs in this scene. I die laughing every single time.

You are high as a f*cking kite! Ahhhhh... brillz.

Delightful Dialogue: Dead & Breakfast

Kate: Do you know how long we've been dating?

David: You're kidding, right?

Kate: I'm asking you a question!

David: And you think this is the right time to ask a question like that?

Kate: There's always some excuse for not wanting to talk about these things.

David: I think defending ourselves from a demon spirit that's now inhabiting your best friend's cousin ranks pretty damn high on the list of good excuses for not wanting to analyze our relationship right now. Could-could you hand me that loaded pipe so I can take care of this tall freak with the ax that's coming up the steps?

Delicious Dinner: The Princess and the Frog

Mmm... New Orleans, jazz-era, musical, Disney. Needless to say, we were sold on this flick loooong before it came out.

There are so many amazing scenes to showcase, but let's get started with a Delicious Dinner. Now there ain't much on the table but a few powdered beignets, but boy do they look scrump-diddly-umptious!

Delicious Dinner: American Beauty

This is one dinner table we're glad we're not a part of. Can you say AWKWARD?!
In a sick, twisted way, we were absorbed while Lester Burnham came apart at the seams...

This dinner scene is one of those moments where you just KNOW someone's gonna lose their shit any second, and you can smell the tension in the air. No wait, turkey gives me gas. Sorry.

Now would someone please pass Spacey the EFF-ING ASPARAGUS!!

Delicious Dinner: Scary Movie 2

This has to be one of the creepiest, foul and gross characters ever to show up on screen. Chris Elliott plays Hanson (whom we've already featured as a Charismatic Character) an amazingly gross yet hilarious butler!

Check out this Delicious...errrmmmm... or rather Disgusting Dinner in which Hanson gets his gnarly fingies into EVERYTHING. Tim Curry sits at the head of this meal which has nearly all it's guests gagging. Superb. Bon Appetit!

Delicious Dinner: Talladega Nights

What a mouth-watering feast... Wonderbread and chicken wings. Yummm.

Oh, sweet, dear, tiny fetus baby Jesus, thank you for this scene from Talladega Nights (2006). It gave us loads of larfs and made us HUN-GEE for trailer park eats!

Sweet, just-got-your-umbilical cord-cut baby Jesus, dear fresh-out-the-womb-still gooey-taking-your-first-breath-of-air baby Jesus, thank you for Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly.

Shake 'n Bake.

Amen.

Dazzling Dance: The Big Chill

Check out this Dazzling Dance from The Big Chill (1983). It's actually a Delicious Dinner that transitions into a dance scene. Could it get any better? Nope.

Watch Glenn Close and friends shake their groove thangs in the kitchen. This looks fun, but my dinner parties are WAY more fun. Two words - limbo competition.

Delicious Dinner: Revolutionary Road

Check out one of the most tense, uncomfortable scenes to ever take place around a dinner table. A quiet, much-loved couple is called out on their BS in Revolutionary Road (2008).

This wasn't a feel-good movie, by any means, but man-oh-man did we love John Givings! What a brilliant character! Huzzah for Michael Shannon!

Delicious Dinner: Beetlejuice

Our newest Cin-Ob Supreme, Dobs, wanted to see something from Beetlejuice! EXCELLENT CHOICE! (I'm yelling, in case you couldn't tell, because I'm THAT psyched)

This scene always delighted me AND scared the crappers outta me as a kid. I wanted to attend this dinner party, but I also became scared of shrimp cocktails and weird furniture. It's a love/hate relationship with this scene.

DAAAYYYY OH!

Beetlejuice (1988)

Delicious Dinner: Tootsie

Again we have a Delicious Dinner segment in which no food is actually consumed, but boy oh boy is it ever fun to watch the awkwardness at this dinner table.

Delicious Dinner: The Breakfast Club

Ok, so this is more of a Luscious Lunch than a Delicious Dinner, but hey - let's not complicate things here and just dub this scene from The Breakfast Club (1985) a Luscious Lunch and throw it into our Delicious Dinner segment.

See what I did there? Uhuh. I'm slick.

But seriously - Yummmmm... Somehow, this concoction looks appetizing. Is that weird?

Delicious Dinner: Grandma's Boy

An amazing dinner scene... even though no food is actually consumed.
Shiloh, can we get two shots of wheatgrass and a large order of bean sprout fajitas to go? And could you make the fajitas Big Macs and the wheatgrass shots root beer? Thanks so much. Big tip for you.

Delicious Dinner: White Chicks

Although the concept of these two dudes convincing ANYONE they're actually woman is beyond the scope of our comprehension, we accepted it at face value for the sake of enjoying this movie.

Behold a Delicious Dinner from White Chicks (2004) that will have you laughing AND gagging all at the same time.

Delicious Dinner: Hot Shots Part Deux

Awwww... he made her a spaghetti sweater! How sweeeet!

We love the Lady and the Tramp reference. And we love Charlie Sheen, even if he is a wee bit of a D-bag.

Delicious Dinner: Waiting For Guffman

There isn't a dull moment in this movie... well, there's some dull scenes, but they're friggin' hilarioozers.
Every single scene keeps us laughing our arses off. And this Delicious Dinner is no exception.

Waiting For Guffman (1996)

Delicious Dinner: Training Day

Although nobody eats a single bite of food at this table, it's still one hell of an interesting dinner conversation. Denzel scared the shit out of us in this role. We wouldn't dare try to tell him a story, because this a-hole ain't impressed by nothin'.

Delicious Dinner: Twister

We're aware this meal was supposed to be bordering on disgusting, but it always made our mouths water. Is that normal?

Twister (1996)
